With an objective to enhance creativity, team-building, technical and communication skills in students, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon has tied up with Network Bull and Association for Computer Machinery(ACM) IIT-Delhi. In view of the same Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon jointly organized an initiative NNSC-2014-India's 1st Network Security Championship from 28th to 29th October 2013.

The speaker Mr. Shrey Datta, a Sr. Network Security Engineer at Network Bulls, Gurgaon illustrated the basics of networking and explained the scope of Networking field. He covered some significant topics like Introduction and hands-on Cisco Devices, Live working of OSI Model, IP addressing, Sub netting, Creating Real Network with Real- Cisco Routers/Switches, Remote access to Routers, Software’s: Packet Tracer, Telnet, Putty, Wire shark, Special Attraction: IPv6 etc.

During the sessions he made the students conversant with the latest technologies being applied in CISCO routers and switches. The students were asked how to create and configure a network as per the given constraints. During the practical session every participant designed his own network. This gave them an idea of how the industry networks are designed and how the troubleshooting is done.
