Dr. Binay Kumar, Assistant Professor, Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a seminar on “Data Analytics and Machine Learning with MATLAB organized by MathWorks on 24th February, 2015 at Maidens Hotel, New Delhi. The objective of this seminar was to disseminate the details for providing a larger perspective in the area of Data Analysis and Machine Learning using MATLAB Software.

During the two sessions of the seminar, the distinguished expert Mr. U. M. Sundar, Application Engineer from MathWorks discussed the usage of MATLAB and its applications in Data Analysis for Big Data. Interacting with the participants, he elaborated the concept and usage of Machine Learning Overview-Types of Learning, Categories of Algorithms. Further, he explained Clustering as Segment data into groups, based on similarity.

The seminar was useful as the attendees learnt how to make interactive apps by Neural Network Toolbox. They also got a platform to discuss Supervised Learning, Predictive Learning, Regression, Gaussian Mixture Models etc.
