ICETSCET-2014

Chandra Mukherjee Assistant Professor along with Rashmi Kumari and Swapnil Rai students of fifth semester ECE. of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended an International Conference on Emerging Trends in Science and Cutting Edge Technology (ICETSCET) on 28th Sep. 14 The conference was held in YMCA, Connaught place, New Delhi.

ICETSCET-2014 provided an excellent international forum for sharing knowledge in the field of Electrical, Electronics, Computing, Communication and Information Technology. The aim of the conference was to provide a common platform to the researchers and practitioners from both academia as well as industry to meet and share cutting-edge development in the field. Prospective authors from both academia and industry were invited to submit their research papers.

At the inaugural session some eminent personalities from industry delivered inspiring lecture on Innovation, Research & Development. Prof. Mishra from BITS Pilani briefly described NS-2 software and he also simulated some small scale projects based on this software and described research opportunities using this platform.

A research paper entitled “Fitness Analysis Kit (FAK)” was presented by Swapnil Rai, Rashmi Kumari and Chandra Mukherjee. This paper was prepared using MATLAB simulation environment. Session chairs appreciated our work and called it an Innovative idea. They also suggested us to prepare its’ prototype. We have discussed different types of sensors used in FAK, objective to develop this kit, some constructional details like specifications of various instruments, for measuring physical parameters and their analysis using Microcontroller unit along with required conditioning circuit. At the concluding part we have discussed implication of FAK on day to day life and also in the context of rural area. All presented papers were published in International Journal of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (ISSN 2321-2055) Vol 6, Issue July-Dec 2014.

Mr. Rahul, a young entrepreneur and experts from BSNL Delhi section delivered inspiring lecture on Innovation, Research and Development. Conference covered many recent research topics like Computer security, Ethical Hacking, Artificial Neural Network analysis, Virtual Reality, Wireless Automation etc. Organizers honored all participants of the conference by distributing certificates & mementos.

The conference was appealing to the broad audience with interests in Electrical, Electronics and Computing. Overall the conference was very interactive and very useful for faculty members as well as students.
