WORKSHOP ON GOOGLE RIDE

Google Developer Group Dronacharya College of Engineering, a sub-chapter of GDG New Delhi, provides a place where programmers and learners hangout to learn and impart knowledge about various Google technologies.

On 15th January 2015, GDG Dronacharya College of Engineering organized a one day workshop “Google Ride” at Sh. S. N. Sidheshwar Sr. Sec. Public School, Sec – 9A, Gurgaon with an objective to spread awareness about the various Google products like Gmail, YouTube, Drive, Books, and Android etc. A total of 62 students from 11th standard participated in the event.

The event commenced with Ms. Parul Bansal (Faculty Coordinator of the chapter) discussing with the participants the motive behind organizing this workshop. Then, a brief introduction on Google Developer Group was given by Mr. Anshul Patro, Organizer of the chapter.

First part of the event covered the aspects of various Google products. During the event various sessions sessions like Play Store Session, Gmail Session, Google Plus Session, YouTube Session, Google Drive Session and Android Code Session by Dronacharyns Vijay Kumar Arora, Akansha Marwah, Shweta Saini, Anshul Patro, Vineet Kataria, Anshul Patro respectively.

In addition to this they also conducted three fun activities titled “Guess the Movie”, What’s Your Adjective”, “Identify Product” to the entire activities more interactive and participants-centered.

After the event, 50 students joined Google+ and followed GDG Dronacharya College of Engineering Google+ and Facebook page. Some other students followed the YouTube channel also. The team received tremendous positive feedback on Google+ and online feedback form for the event has been shared with them.
