Mrs. Kshitija Pol (Associate Professor, CSE Dept.) along with 74 students from CSE, IT, CSIT, ECS & ECE Departments of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon visited the company. The visit was organized with the aim of providing the students a brief understanding of Networking Fundamentals & Equipment.

Founded in 2009, Network Bulls is premier Institute for Networking. Network Bulls has the World's Largest Cisco Labs with fully loaded devices and functional equipment required for technology specific training.

Mr. Pramod Singh, Network Specialist addressed the students. Then, Mr. Baljot Singh (Training Specialist) gave the Overview of Company & Introduction to Computer Networks. He also explained about the three basic aspects of Engineering Student i.e., “What, Why and How”. He gave the tips for the HR round in the placement. He stated Network as set of devices (often referred to as nodes) connected by communication links. A node can be a computer, printer, or any other device capable of sending and / or receiving data generated by other nodes on the network. He explained the type of a network with an example. Types of Networks are LAN, WAN & MAN. Mr. Singh also discussed MAC address & IP address and ended his Lecture session by briefing OSI reference model & device used in each layer.

Mr. Singh discussed difference between Switch & hub. Hub is used in star topology. When hub receives it simply broadcasts the packet to all terminal while Switch is an intelligent device it. When switch receives a packet for the first time it broadcast the packet, then switch store its MAC address in a table. Next time when packet arrives for same destination then it is directly sent to particular node.

He started his talk by stating that Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and running a new business i.e. a start - up company offering a product, process or service. India as an economy is constantly achieving new heights and is amongst the most fast paced developing and advancing economies of the world. New startups and other new business undertakings by fresh college graduates especially with engineering and technical background has been one of the most contributing factors for the same. The session was then taken over by Ms. Nidhi Manchanda (17092) who elaborated more on entrepreneurship, common traits of an entrepreneur, what makes an individual a successful entrepreneur, types of venture an individual can start and how to convert passion into a profit making company. She also briefed the attendees with the various types of entrepreneurs like business entrepreneurs, trading entrepreneurs, industrial entrepreneurs, corporate entrepreneurs, agriculture entrepreneurs, technical entrepreneurs and others. Entrepreneur is somebody who is an organizer, risk bearer and innovator. Then she shared the success stories of many entrepreneurs and said that the innovation doesn’t happen overnight and age is not a barrier for being an entrepreneur. There have been students merely 13 years of age who have their own start - ups. Innovation takes place when we keep our eyes and ears open to resolve the problems of the society. Ms. Alia Anis (17014) took the third session. She said that the only thing that makes an individual entrepreneur is their capability to think differently. She talked about business plan which involves ideas, strategy, risks, goals, marketing and finance. Then she shared the success stories of Asif Khan Delhvi who owns “Delhi Karavan” and Mr. Yogesh Saini who has his start - up with the name “Delhi Street Arts” which gives color to the city of Delhi.
