SEMINAR

A seminar on “Advances in Embedded Electronics and Communication Technologies” was organised by ECE dept. in association with Resistive Technologies, Gurgaon on 19 Sep 14. Mr. Amit Kumar, Head, Resistive Technologies explained and showed few projects based on embedded systems. He also briefed about the various advancements in embedded systems in automation and communication field. Embedded systems are part of human life, where man is surrounded by almost 10 automated devices at a time. These systems are called intelligent systems because everything is embedded in a small system. They reduce human efforts and make life comfortable.

Mr. Kumar also explained the various applications of embedded systems like automation in cars, mobile phones, security systems, smart cards etc. These systems work on co-operative sensor network where one system sends data to another and the other processes the data. Tele health care is one of the important applications of embedded systems, wherein all the activities of a patient can be monitored.

The seminar ended with a question and answer session. The HOD (ECE) delivered the vote of thanks. Overall, the seminar was very interactive and highly informative.
