On 12th September, 2014, the faculty members Mr. K.K.Singh and Mrs. Akanksha Kulshreshtha from Electronics & Computer Engineering department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon had attended a one day workshop organised by COMSOL about latest software version COMSOL Multiphysics V4.4 at Emblem Hotel, New Delhi.

Mr. Lakhvinder Singh, System Engineer at COMSOL shared the concept and usage of Comsol Multiphysics V4.4 with the help of his presentation. The three hour workshop was devided into two sessions. In the first session he introduced COMSOL, its significance in academic era and how it involved in research and development sector. During the second session he provided the trail version of software and a pdf file containig examples of simulations to all the participants and helped them to get start with this software. Before Conclusion they showed the way to generate a simulation by using a equation without even knowing the exact dimensions of the material.

The workshop was useful as the participants practices this software which is capable of generating simulated results in a wide range of streams like bio medical sciences, material sciences, mechanical engineerig, chemical analysis, thermodynamic motion, electromagnetic equations, magnetic effect, heating effect etc.
