Thirty students from Electronics & Computer Engineering Department, Ten students from Computer Science and Engineering Department and Ten Students from Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon visited Solar Panel at Om Shanti Retreat Centre, Pataudi Road, Gurgaon on 20th Februrary, 2015. They were accompanied by the faculty Mrs. Akanksha Kulshreshtha (ECS), Hansraj (CSE) and Dharmendra Pal (IT). The objective of this visit was to show solar panel system and its mechanism to the students.

Addressing the students, Mr. Shabir Ali, Technical In-charge of the center talked about various categories of solar power panel. He explained basic working of solar panel and showed the array and its internal structure. In addition to this, the students were told complete application and processing of solar power panel.

There were around 30 parabolic solar panels which were distributed in four categories i.e. steam making, electricity generation, hot water, street lighting.

At the end Ms. Divya from Brahma Kumaris took a session focusing on self-analysis, self-creation and meditation. The students practiced these through different activities.

It was a great learning experience for the students as they learnt the technical aspects of solar power panel and also practiced meditation through activities.
