All students of third semester Electronics and Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a Seminar on “Telecom Technologies” at ZTE TELECOM INDIA PVT. LTD, Manesar on October 18th, 2012 which was followed by an industrial visit.

ZTE Corporation is a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions.It connects global customers via voice, data, multimedia and WLAN.

An educational trip & Industrial Visit like this offers an opportunity for a rich experience, and is a tremendous way to facilitate learning. Students have a chance to experience a culture, gives an opportunity to connect with the people and place on a much deeper level than they ever could, in the classroom. It creates opportunities for students to think out of the box and see things and places that aren't usually seen in their normal environment. It helps to bridge the gap between classroom and the real working world. The visit also provides first-hand knowledge about the organizational structures and modes of operation in different industries. Industrial visit make students understand the subject to its core. It also gives idea to students about their job profile once they start working.

This program gave our studentsbasic knowledge of how mobile network works. They provided brief information about manufacturing of various chips and described how they maintained a life cycle in the process of production. After the successful seminar, there was Industrial visit, where they were introduced to different types of machines and their working principles.
