16th – 18th March, 2016

10th IndiaCom International Conference was organized by Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, New Delhi, technically supported by IEEE Delhi Section and co supported by IETE, IET, ISTE and CSI from 16th March – 18th March, 2016. The theme of the conference was “Computing for Sustainable Global Development”.

Dr. Neelam Ruhil (HOD - Electronics and Computer Engineering) from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was invited as the session chair for Track No. 8 (Next Generation Networks) titled - Information Security in Cloud, Mobile and Web Technology on 18th March 2016. Dr. Rajiv Mahajan (GCET, Punjab) was the co-chair for the session.

The Conference was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Professor Tamas Gedeon (The Australian University, Canberra, Australia). The Guest of Honor was Professor Mohammad Yamin (King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia). The Inauguration Ceremony was presided by Prof. K.K Aggarwal (Former Founder Vice Chancellor, GGSIP University, New Delhi) in the august presence of Prof. A.K Nayak (Chairman, Publication Committee, Computer Society of India) and Prof. Mini S. Thomas (Chairman, IEEE Delhi Section).

Dr. Neelam Ruhil chaired the session whose objective was to identify the latest, emerging research topics, and define the future of Cloud and Mobile Security. Mobile and Cloud is the latest extension of an evolution in distributed computing that takes advantage of technological advances. Deploying confidential information and critical IT resources in the cloud raises concerns about vulnerability to attack, especially because of the anonymous, multi-tenant nature of cloud computing. Mobile devices are a part of our life. People use their devices to stay in touch, take pictures, shop and bank. In addition, they store personal and business information on them. As the number of phones grows, security risks will increase too. Mobile security can be compromised due to design flaws, susceptibilities, and protocol failures in any mobile and other threats. This session encouraged researchers and scholars to learn new technologies.

Dr. Neelam Ruhil addressed the presenters by sharing her experience on mobile and web application and how these applications are useful and important for paying their utility bills or making other money transactions. The session chairs also shared their knowledge on Computing for Sustainable Global Development and announced the session open. Several quality papers related to cloud management, security issues in cloud Computing, scalable web architectures, cloud data governance, trusted cloud computing platform, data communication and security were presented by researchers and academicians. Some research scholars and students also presented their review papers and explained their future work in the related field.

Total SEVEN papers were presented at the special session convened by Dr. Ruhil. The particulars of the papers are as follows:

1. Web Data Mining - A Perspective of Research Issues and Challenges Kavita, Priyanka Mahani & Neelam Ruhil.

2. Online voting system linked with Aadhar - Vishal, Vibhu Chinmany and Rishabh Garg.

3. Digital Watermarking – Effectiveness and Implications on Anti - Circumvention Prateek Chakaraverty.

6. A Review paper on Automatic energy Meter Reading System – Nitesh Rawat, Bhuvesh Yadav, Sonia.

7. Blood vessel Detection for Diabetic Retinopathy - Poonam Yadav and Neelam Ruhil.

The conference provided a platform for researchers to share their work with others working in the same field and it was a good learning opportunity for the presenters as well as the attendees.
