Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp powered by Entrepreneurship Development Institute, Ahmedabad was organized at Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon from 28th - 30th March 2016. The cell makes efforts to launch programs that boost the morale of the students and give them platforms from where they can kick start their ventures. |

Day 1: CLASSROOM ACTIVITY:
One way of spreading awareness is by direct interaction with students and giving them a basic knowledge of what all an individual faces when he walks as an entrepreneur. For this reason, an entrepreneurial quiz competition was organized on 28th March 2016, to judge the extent to which students are aware of the Entrepreneurial world. In the quiz, the coordinators had organized two rounds. In the first round, they had four teams and three pictures of successful entrepreneurs were shown to each team. They had to name the entrepreneur and give a brief description of that person’s journey to become successful.

Out of these four teams, two topmost teams qualified for second round, “solving the jumbled words”. There were five jumbled words related to entrepreneurship for each team and 45 seconds were given to them for solving each word. These jumbled words were related to entrepreneurial traits and the coordinators emphasized on the importance of these words by the role that they play in making up of a successful businesses. Both the teams scored same points in this round and finally in the tie breaker round one team won the quiz. The winning team was rewarded with goodies. |

The program was a great learning experience for all the participating students and encouraged them to never give up on their dreams and fight to make it successful. |

Day2: INDUSTRIAL VISIT:
The aim of entrepreneurship awareness is to make students know the current trends of market and focus on innovative ideas to provide frugal solutions to the problems of mankind. With this aim, an Industrial Visit to “Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Noida” was organized by ED cell of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 29th March 2016. A total of Thirty Four students from CSE, CSIT and ECE Departments, along with Mr. Amar Saraswat, Assistant Professor, CSE Department went Noida for company visit. |

APTRON Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a leading organization that provides more than three hundred IT and non-IT industry standard training progressions for working professionals. The Main Agenda for the visit was to provide industry exposure to students about Cisco Networking. |
|
Mr. Vikas, Network Consultant, provided an in-depth knowledge about Cisco Packet Tracer, creating virtual networks and tracing packets. He also discussed the importance of networking certifications. |
|
The session was primarily focused on Networking and the Networking certifications by CISCO i.e the CCNA (Cisco certified Network Associate), CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) and CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) which can be beneficial for the students who want to pursue their career in the field of networking. |

After that, the students visited the APTRON Labs and server rooms and saw the real time implementation and maintenance of racks and routers. During the lab visit, Mr. Vikas also explained the students about various networking devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, hubs, etc. He discussed about the ways to connect these devices and maintain them with the help of various networking commands. |

The students also learnt to identify the ability of network infrastructure that supports its applications and how it affecting the overall experience for users. Also, Mr. Vikas discussed that how the world is making legacy and network technologies work together. With the help of an example, Mr. Vikas also explained how to connect several computers in a LAN with the help of a switch, install IP addresses to the computers and managed them with only one machine and IOS. |

In the end there was an interactive questions and answers session in which students raised some questions and their doubts about the topic. The students felt motivated and enthusiastic throughout the industrial visit. Then, the certificates were distributed to the students. The industrial visit to Aptron Solutions Pvt. Ltd. proved to be very enriching and encouraging for the students. |

Day3: IDEA GENERATION ACTIVITY:
On third day “Idea Generation Activity” was conducted in which students went around the markets of Gurgaon to meet the youngsters and collect the ideas with which they would wish to start their start-ups if given a chance. The idea shared by the people was brain storming and some of them were so aptly addressing our daily needs. |

The students were highly motivated by the response of the people, that it made them realize that the direction they were opting is justified. They also interacted with people who had actually struggled a lot to bring their ideas into implementation stage. |
|
The three day program was a wonderful learning experience for the students and they were motivated to face real world challenges. |
|
