CRACK CODING INTERVIEW

Department of Computer Science & Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organised a seminar on “How to Crack Coding Interview” by Mr. Kamal Rawat, Computer Scientist, of Bodhn on 10th September 2015. Final year students of all the departments attended the session.

The objective of this seminar was to guide the students about technical interviews, held during placement process. Mr. Kamal Rawat gave an introductory overview of different phases of placement drive by explaining the importance of each phase in getting a job.

Mr. Rawat shared his interview experience of Microsoft, Google with the students so that they can have a basic idea about interview questions and how to tackle them. He also taught about the core fundamental topics of C programming languages that are generally asked during the technical interview. He gave example of various programming questions that are generally asked from the freshers. He also discussed various approaches on a problem so that the interviewer can see creativeness, deep knowledge in a particular domain and the attitude to solve any new problem. Mr. Rawat explained the questions that are asked by organizations - both start-ups and big IT giants like Oracle, Microsoft, etc. He also discussed about different important topics for quantitative aptitude, reasoning and verbal section for clearing the written interview. He focused over the attitude of the aspirant, dressing sense, communication skills and basic etiquettes while going to face an interview.

The speaker broadly focused on all the key aspects by which students can crack the interview and can get a job. The session was very much interactive and students learnt the basic idea to crack any interview.
