CONFERENCE 2014

Two faculty members Dr. Sunil Mishra and Dr. Parul Mishra from Applied Sciences & Humanities Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon  attended a one-day National Conference on Innovative Paradigms in English Language, Media and Communication orchestrated by Department of Humanities, College of Engineering, Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad on 26th April 2014.

The grail of this Conference was to furnish a platform for the academicians, researchers and students to chew over various relevant topics like Cross-cultural communication, Teaching humanities through Literature, Industrial Sociology, Professional ethics & values etc.

The conference was inaugurated by the Chief-guest Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Rizwan Khan, Dept of English, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in the presence of Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. R.K.Mudgal and other dignitaries.

Dr. Sunil Mishra presented a paper titled “Innovative paradigms in English Language Teaching” wherein he elaborated some modern pedagogical approaches of language teaching. Another paper titled “Ethical Values & Soft Skills: Two pillars of Employability” was contributed jointly by Dr. Parul Mishra and Prakhar Sethi (Roll No.16115 ), a student of CSE - II semester. Presenting the paper Dr. Parul Mishra spotlighted the relevance of ethics, etiquettes and soft skills in any profession.

The abstracts of selected papers are available in proceedings with ISBN: 978-93-5174-107-7. Overall, the conference was informative and beneficial to the presenters as well as the participants.
