On 13th August 2013, Mr. Anil Kumar Chhotu, Assistant Professor and Mr. Deepak Pahuja (Roll No 14549) from the department of Civil Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon presented their papers entitled “Willingness to pay for better safety on National highway” and “Base isolation by spring system for earthquake prevention” respectively in a National Conference On “Recent Trends In Engineering, Technology and Management for Sustainable Development” (RTETMSD-2013) at MVN University, Palwal, Haryana.

In his paper, Mr. Anil Kumar Chhotu, investigated willingness to pay (WTP) total of four parameters travel time, travel cost, expected number of accident and level of service and survey was conducted to users of NH-6 near Kharagpur. He used fractional factorial design for SP survey data collection and analysis. Finally with discrete choice model analysis willingness to pay for safety was estimated. Mr. Deepak Pahuja discussed the behaviour of spring isolation system in the extensive mathematical and scientific analysis.
