A group of 120 students from Applied Science Department, 125 students from VI and IV semesters of ECE Department and 60 students from ME Department along with faculty coordinators Mr. Amit Narwal, Ms. Sushmita Samanta, Ms. Monika Thakur, Mr. Jayashish and Mr. B.L. Tudu of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon on 27th February, 2015 participated in an visit to ‘Electronics For You’ (EFY) Exposition held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

The main objective of EFY Exposition this year was to promote “Make In India”, the flagship project of our respected Prime Minister and simultaneously to showcase the success stories of recent years. It also displayed some of the biggest & latest innovations by Indian innovators in the “Innovation Zone”. The students came to know about ESDM (Electronic System Design & Manufacturing) Skills Certification Scheme launched by, Government of India. It offered training in areas of Optics, Mobile Comm, PCB Design , Broadband and 75% of the fee shall be paid by the Government.

In the Expo students got a chance to understand multiple 3D printers, displayed for the first time in India. It ranged from printers for beginners to food printers. The 20 companies participating in the Expo showcased their innovations and latest products.

5. Key sight 3000T Oscilloscope

6. 3D Printer

7. Solar PCU

The visit to ‘Electronics For You’ (EFY) Exposition has been very fruitful and educative for both the students and the faculty members as they got knowledge exposure to the latest developments in Electronics Industry.
