Prof. (Dr.) Ram Chhavi Sharma from Applied Sciences & Humanities Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon presented a research paper on the topic “Smart and Functional materials in Technological Advancement of Solar Photovoltaic” in a two- day International Conference  on Innovative Trends in Applied Physical, Chemical, Mathematical Sciences and Emerging Energy Technology for Sustainable Development organized at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi on April 19-20, 2014. This paper was published in” Emerging Energy Technology Perspectives- A Sustainable Approach (ISBN 978-93-83083-73-2) pp 138-145, 2014.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Ajit Kumar, Professor, School of Physical Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Dr.Chan Lee, Professor, University of South Korea was guest of honour. In his inaugural address Prof. Ajit Kumar stressed the need of applications of scientific laws for the benefits of society. He also delivered a talk on Unification of Forces and Quantum Gravity.

The international  Conference was divided in six technical sessions  on Physical science, Chemical science, Mathematical science, Energy,  Energy Technology and Applied Engineering with 98 selected papers were invited for oral and poster presentation from all over the globe.

The eminent academicians like  Dr B.B.singh, Department of Chemistry  Delhi University; Dr. M.R.Tripathy, Professor  Amity University Noida; Dr. Vikash Rai, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prof. R. C.Sharma also chaired a session of this International Conference.

The conference was concluded by Dr. Vankatramman, Organizing Secretary of the conference and  Dr. G.C. Mishra, the Chair Person of the conference. It  was highly innovative, application oriented and knowledge based covering the fields of Physical Science, Chemical Science, Mathematical Science, Energy, Energy Technology and Applied Engineering research.
