VLSI DESIGN

On 14th August 2013, the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a Guest Lecture on “VLSI Design and Embedded Systems” in association with Pro-Innovation Labs, Faridabad.

The aim of this lecture was to provide a platformfor discussion and updation of knowledge on the recent developments in the field of VLSI Design and Embedded Systems.

Two experts from Pro-Innovation Labs, Faridabad under the convener-ship of Mr. D. D Sharma shared their views on Electronics Industry in India, Career Opportunities in the industry, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Microcontrollers and Programming using Embedded C etc. They also highlighted some of the recent projects fabricated by the students in association with their lab. This generated a lot of interest in the attendees as they were motivated to develop projects with new creative ideas.

Speaker stressed upon the importance of academic knowledge and advised the students to master atleast one technical area with its proper applications. He also highlighted the importance of knowing oneself. He advised students to introspect their strengths and weaknesses and acquire technical and communication skills to lead the present world of technologies.

Over 120 students attended the guest - lecture and they were exposed to the world of electronics particularly VLSI Design and Embedded Systems. They were also provided excellent opportunity with hands-on to understand the electronics industry using the above systems.
