SEMINAR-ME

Prof. (Dr.) A.K. Das and Mr. K.S Vishwanath, Assistant Professor from Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a two-day AICTE Sponsored National Seminar on Application of Graph theory - a novel technique for research organized by the department of Mechanical Engineering, YMCAUST,, Faridabad during 14th-15th January 2014.

The objective of this seminar was to discuss the Fundamentals of Graph Theory, Graph Theory for combinational problems , Application of Graph Theory in solving real life problems; Engineering applications related to modeling, analysis, characterization, wear, reliability, failure, manufacturing and industrial engineering problems.

The seminar was inaugurated by Lieutenant General Karan Singh Yadava, Vice Chancellor, YMCAUST, Faridabad in the presence of Prof. O.P. Gandhi from I.I.T, Delhi . On the first day the sessions included a talk on “Fundamentals of Graph Theory” by Dr. R.K. Sharma, Thapar University, Patiala and “A case study of TQM” by Dr. Sandeep Grover, YMCAUST, Faridabad. The second day had sessions by eminent professor like Dr. Sushil Kumar, IIT Delhi on “Idea Structuring Tools”, Dr. R.K. Garg, DCRUST, Murthal on on Introduction to Graph Theory . The conference concluded with a talk on “Integrated MADM Techniques” by Dr. Sanjeev Goyal, YMCAUST, Faridabad.

The seminar was educative as the participants learnt a lot about graph theory and its applications.
