OFFICE 365 EDUCATION PARTNER DEV CAMP

Microsoft organized a two - day event named “Office 365 Education Partner Dev Camp” to introduce Office 365 API’s at Microsoft Corporation (India), DLF Phase - 2, Gurgaon from 26th - 27th November 2015. Mr. Senaj Seleli who is a German Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) delivered the session. Eight students of CSE Department namely Priya Yadav (16955), Nishant Kumar(17096),Lokesh Pandey (17074), Mohit Manuja (17087), Kashika Grover (17064), Leetasha Maheshwari (17073), Vikas Kumar (17170) and Saket Kumar (17121) from Dronacharya College of Engineering ,Gurgaon attended the event.

Day 1 session began with the valuable notes of Mr. Senaj Seleli. In his speech, Mr. Seleli shared his eminent knowledge on office 365 API’s among the participants. The event was scheduled for two days into various sessions, which included both Theoretical and Lab sessions.

In his further sessions, Mr. Seleli discussed about Office 365 development, client side platform, consuming additional services of Office 365 API’s and to build applications using an open platform and to exchange the open platform ideas. He also gave brief about single authentication flow for Office 365, Azure AD graph, exchange of SharePoint and device apps and standalone websites. He also introduced a new tool to students which is Fiddler. It shows response and request from apps running on the background.

Day 2 was scheduled for hands on, where students executed the lab sessions using office 365, Azure Sdk 2.6 and Office developer tools for Visual Studio 2015. Applications with Angular, ADAL and Office 365 API’s were also discussed which includes deep dive with OAuth and security, Azure Active directory & OAuth 2.0 active azure (ACS) for office 365. Mr.Senaj showed the linking with the Office 365 tool and AZURE along with the protocols of SharePoint collaboration and the essential part. The speaker ended up the session by taking doubts again and letting us to use this API’s for sure.

The two day Camp was very helpful as students came to know various Office 365 API’s, How to use azure AD with the office 365 API’s, deeply discussion about office 365-unified API analytics help the mob to work on the Real-time analytics.

It was really interactive and truly knowledgeable session with fruitful output of knowledge.
