Six students from the Deptt of Electronics & Communication Engineering: Ankur Roll No. 13148; Ankur Raghav Roll No. 13149; Deepanshu Batra Roll No 13164; Gaurav Roll No. 13172 and Dharamveer Gothwal Roll No. 13167 attended a three-day International Conference On Recent Trends In Computer, Communication, Control Engineering & Applications (ICRTCCCEA-2013) organized by Manav Institute of Technology & Management, Hisar (Haryana) from March 15th to 17th ,2013. This International Conference was focused on collective wisdom of various stake holders to plan coherent and pragmatic strategies realizing significant local and global economic as well as environmental benefits, to upgrade the technology and expand its application, and to identify challenges and perspectives as well as policy interventions needed to promote the use of computers and communication engineering for trustworthy applications. It was also intended to mitigate digital divide among urban and rural settings for socio-economic upliftment of masses through awareness about appropriate technologies.

Dr. C. P. Gupta, Hon’ble Chairman, Manav Institute of Technology & Management (MITM) inaugurated the Conference. Prof. D. P. Singh, Vice Chancellor of JNKVV, M.P., talked about Artificial Intelligence, Soft Computing, Bio informatics, Data mining etc. Distinguished speakers Dr. Surjeet Jain, Principal, MITM and Dr. Cyon from USA also enlightened the participants on various topics like Image processing, Wireless Sensor Networks etc.

During the Conference Ankur and Ankur Raghav students of VI Semester jointly presented apaper entitled “Image processing based on wavelets transformation”. Another technical paper “DWP based high – performance MEMS pressure sensors” was presented By Deepanshu Batra.

The Conference ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Seema Gupta, Co-chairperson of MITM, Hisar and distribution of certificates to all participants.
