COMSOL 5.0 Launch

COMSOL India Ltd. organized a one-day event on “COMSOL 5.0 Launch” at Hotel Hans, New Delhi on 19th December 2014. Mrs. Amninder Kaur from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the event.

The COMSOL Desktop is a powerful integrated environment designed for cross-disciplinary product development with a unified workflow, regardless of the application area. It provides an interactive environment to students & researchers for modeling and simulating scientific and engineering problems.

Mr. Samarth, Application Engineer, COMSOL Inc. after giving a brief about the topic, discussed on the new & exciting features of the latest & biggest release – COMSOL Version 5.0. This version brings the Application Builder for creating specialized applications directly from the COMSOL models. The Application Builder, included with COMSOL Multiphysics, lets one build the applications with custom user interfaces for worldwide use.

Mr. Lakhvinder Singh, Application Engineer, Comsol, said that COMSOL 5.0 added the new features and updates including:

1. New predefined multiphysics couplings

2. Faster handling of CAD assemblies and large arrays

3. Multianalysis optimization

4. Search for eigenfrequencies within a given interval

5. Cryogenic damage

6. Ray acoustics and acoustic diffusion

7. Automatic pipe connections to 3D flow domains

8. New algebraic turbulence models

9. Frequency- and material-controlled auto mesh

10. New Chemistry interface

After the launching program Mr. Lakhvinder, Mr.Samarth and Mr. Prashant, Application Engineer at Comsol, answered the queries and doubts of the participants. From this program the participants learnt a finite element analysis, solver and Simulation software / FEA Software package for various physics and engineering applications.
