National Conference on Advanced Computing Technologies (NCACT- 2013)

 

 

A one-day National Level Conference on Advanced Computing Technologies was organized by the department of Computer Science & Applications, Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak at its campus on 30th March, 2013. The aim of this conference was to bring experts, academicians and research scholars together to emphasize on the latest trends taking place in Advanced Computing Technologies.

The keynote address was delivered by Prof. N. P. Singh, MDI, Gurgaon followed by the inaugural address by Prof. Manohar Lal, Former Director, School of Computer Science, IGNOU, New Delhi. The presidential address was accomplished by Prof. (Dr.) Chand Singh Dhull, Director, P.G.I.M.S, Rohtak with the cooperative management team of HOD Computer Science, Prof. Rajender Singh Chhillar and Organizing Secretary, Prof. Nasib Singh Gill from MD University, Rohtak. The conference published 214 papers in total with their presentations as well.

The conference provided an opportunity to interact with the experts and researchers in the field of advanced computing technologies. The subthemes of conference were Soft Computing, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Software Engineering, Data Warehouse & Data Mining, Computer Network & Security, Cloud Computing, Image Processing Cryptographic Techniques, Steganography /Watermarking Techniques, Mobile Computing, Software Testing & Quality Assurance.

The Faculty Members (Mrs. Neha Malik , Mrs. Manisha Saini, Mrs. Pooja Taneja, Mrs. Pinki Sethi and Mrs. Minakshi Memoria) along with students (Gunjan Chhillar, Manisha Yadav, Neha Munsi, Chhavi Yadav, Prerna Mangla, Ronak Juneja, Sadhna Gopal, Trishant Malik and Garima Bhasin) from Dronacharya College of Engineering Gurgaon, participated and presented seven papers entitled (i) “WONDERS A HAND CAN DO-SURFACE COMPUTING” (ii) “BLUE MARKETING” (iii) “AJAX: IMPLEMENTATION THROUGH APPLICATION” (iv) “EFFECTIVE SPRINT MANAGEMNT USING PRATI TEST” (v) “STEP AHEAD FROM HANDSET APPLICATIONS TO 4G VIA MIMO ANTENNA” (vi) “SOFT COMPUTING IN DBMS” (vii) “ELEVATE ONLINE RESUME BUILDING: APPRAISAL SURVEY OF PERMANENT OPEN SOURCE WEBSITES”.

The conference was useful and informative as the participants got a chance to interact with the experts and researchers in the field of advanced computing technologies. It was an ever-remembering experience that enriched the treasure of knowledge with lots of new things. Many innovative ideas were presented and discussed.
