PAPER PRESENTATION IN THE INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR AT JAMMU UNIVERSITY
Dr. Jindagi Kumari, Associate Professor from Applied Sciences and Humanities Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon presented her research paper entitled “No to the Trodden Path: Gender and Republic in Shakespeare’s As You Like It” in the VI International Seminar on “The Republic in Shakespeare” organised by Shakespeare Association (India) in collaboration with Jammu University from 16th to 18th October 2013.
Inaugurating the seminar Prof. Bhim S. Dahiya, the eminent scholar and president of Shakespeare Association (India) shared his valuable insights and observations about projection of republic in Shakespeare’s plays.
Other distinguished resource persons were Prof. Paul Budra from Canada, Carina Sulzer from Austria, Rita Severi from Italy, Lisa Hopkins from UK, R.S. White from Australia and Prof. S.P.S. Dahiya from M.D.U, Rohtak.
The seminar marked the overwhelming presence of over one hundred and fifty enthusiastic delegates across the globe. It served as a robust platform of intense scholarly discourse on various aspects of Shakespeare an literature. Undoubtedly, it was a highly enriching academic experience for the attendees.
