Dr. Vimla Yadav, Associate Professor, Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the Ist International Forum on Asian Water Environment Technology held from December 18th - 20th, 2013, at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

The International Forum was organized in quest to integrate scientist fraternity working in the field of water and waste water treatment to save the future of world at large. The summit was organised by Research Centre for Water Environment Technology, University of Tokyo in co-ordination with School of Environmental Science, JNU, IIT- Roorkee and Department of Environmental Science, Tezpur University. Keynote address was delivered by Prof. Hideki Harada, Tohoku University, Japan. His address focused on Innovative Sewage Treatment System with Minimal Energy Requirement.

The forum was divided into two sessions A and B, in which researchers from different countries like Austria, Indonesia, China, Japan, Iraq, Germany and India presented their works in the field of water treatment and monitoring. The aim of the forum was to provide deeper discussion on the issues related to water in the world.
