An industrial visit to M/s Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSL) for a group of 40 students (III semester), Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon was arranged on 09th November 2013 under the coordination of the Faculty members Prof. Vijay Wakhlu, Mr. Lokesh Khuranna and Mr. Kuldeep Sangwan.

Sh. V.K. Malhotra, Manager - Public Relations and Sh. Baddam, Manager - Development at Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. demonstrated the working of Press Shop, Welding Shop, Assembly Shop. They further made the students well aware on the operations done in these shops.

While going around welding shop Overhead And Ground Level Conveyors, Fixing Jigs And Robots the students also learnt about spot welding to join body panels and other small components.

In the assembly shop the application of Move Body And Fitment of Parts for Continuous Production was explained to students.They also watched two Video films about their production system including paint shop and clarified their doubts.

The visit was informative as the students got practical exposures of different shops, operations done at M/s Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSL).
