HOMELAND SECURITY

Four students Sanya Harneja, Deepak Vashisth, Harshit Punn and Nayan Singh Rajput from Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a two day conference on Homeland Security 2013 - Safe and Secure Nation on 23rd-24th July 2013 organized by FICCI in association with Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

The objective of the conference was to bring awareness about latest Technologies, security challenges, fair use of technology and issues of capacity building for mitigating the risks.

Mr. Shekhar Dutt, Hon’ble Governor of Chhattisgarh,was the Chief Guest of the event. Mr. G.K. Pillai, Vice president, FICCI, New Delhi and Mr. Vivek Lal, Joint Venture Partner, Reliance enlightened the participants on various issues related to women empowerment, entrepreneurship, state and central policies etc.

It was a good learning experience for the participants to interact with various Scholars, Policymakers, Technology Experts, Venture Capitalists etc.
