Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized the sixteenth Freshers’ Welcome Function “Deeksha Samaroh" on 27th August 2013 (Tuesday), extending a red-carpet welcome to the budding Engineers. On this auspicious occasion, a number of cultural events were organized by the senior Dronacharyans.

Lighting the Lamp, the Chief-Guest, Hon'ble Dr. Satish Yadav, Chairman, Dronacharya Group of Institutions declared the function open. Extending heartiest welcome to ambitious aspirants, he shared his belief in amelioration, escalation and exaltation. He also ensured that the college fraternity is putting in their best to craft students' career by combining intelligence with diligence. Addressing the large gathering of students, he stated that Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon is committed to provide all facilities to the students for exposure of innovation and creativity not only to adapt new situations but also to lead the corporate world.

The Principal Prof. (Dr.) M. N. Hussain also addressed the students who have manifested an unflinching faith in DCE, Gurgaon. He promised that following the traditions, the students will be viewed with admiration and compassion at college campus. He wished them a pleasant stay and every success in realizing their aspirations at DCE, Gurgaon.

Hon'ble Chairman distributed cash prizes, certificates, tantalizing trophies and shields meritorious students. The cultural committee and revered judges selected and honoured Mr. Anurag Vatsas Mister Fresher and Miss Priyanka Khatanaas Miss Fresher 2013.

The Function was ended with vote of thanks delivered by a student Mr. Utkarsh who extended his gratitude to the Management, Hon’ble Principal, HODs, Faculty members, staff and students of Dronacharya College of Engineering for their contribution in making the Function a grand success.
