TWO DAYS FDP

The Spoken Tutorial Resource Centre of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organised a two-day faculty development programme from 15th to 16th January 2014 in association with IIT, Bombay. Inaugurating the program, Hon’ble Principal Prof. (Dr.) M.N. Hussain expressed that the Spoken Tutorial Project is the initiative of the "Talk to a Teacher" project of the National Mission on Education through ICT, Government of India. He said that thisproject would be helpful to the faculty members in acquiring skills related to different softwares like Linux, LaTeX, Python, Basic IT Skills and Open Foam etc.

The FDP aimedat not only to deliver the contents to the participants but also to encourage them to use softwares in imparting technical knowledge among the students.

Around 80 faculty members fromvarious departmentsattended the workshop on Linux and would be appearing for evaluation through on-line test to be held on 1st February 2014.

All the participants were enthusiastic about the innovative approach and practiceof learning as the Mrs. Chitra Kaul the Coordinator of the Spoken Tutorial Resource Centre also shared valuable inputs in this regard.
