FAREWELL FUNCTION 2014

Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon celebrated the farewell function (Bidai - Samaroh) for its 13th batch on 3rd May 2014. The day witnessed an unforgettable farewell to the Final Year students, hosted jointly by the first, second and third year students in a very well organized and fabulous manner. The “Bidai- Samaroh” commenced with the lighting of Lamp by the Hon’ble Chief-Guest Lt. Gen (Rtd) A.K. Singh Hon’ble Governor Andaman & Nicobar Islands, India.

Addressing students, the Chief-Guest congratulated the students and hoped for a bright and rewarding career ahead. He stated that the demand for quality engineers has been increasing day by day. He appreciated the steps taken by Dronacharya College of Engineering in imparting technical education to the students of rural areas as well. He also encouraged the students to have a holistic view of the world once they enter their professional career. He appreciated the college fraternity for its well developed infrastructure meant for imparting application-oriented technical education and training-based discipline for overall development of the students.

Hon’ble Dr. Satish Yadav, Chairman, Dronacharya Group of Institutions delivered a highly motivating and emotional speech advising the students to contribute more in the services of Society and Nation. Addressing the students, the dynamic and esteemed Principal Prof. (Dr.) M.N. Hussain stated that the students of DCE always perform well in academia and other co-curricular activities. The alumni placed across the globe are also doing their best to contribute for the social welfare.

On this august day Hon’ble Chief-Guest gave away awards and tantalizing shields to the students (from various departments) for excellent performance in academics.

Hon’ble Chief-guest also given away the Best Placement Award to Ms. Nisha (IT Deptt), the Best Overall student Award Mrs. Ritu Aparna (IT Deptt), Ms. Babita Sandooja (CSE Deptt), Ms. Surabhi Abbi (ECE Deptt), and Saveen Kaul (ME Deptt).

The function was concluded with a vote of thanks by the Convener Prof. (Dr.) Jitender Yadav, Head, Deptt. of Information Technology followed by delicious lunch. He expressed his heart - felt gratitude to the chief guest for gracing this occasion.
