INDIAN SCIENCE CONGRESS ASSOCIATION

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh inaugurated the ISCA conference on 3rd Feb 2014. Prime Minister presented the ISCA awards for the year 2013-14 to various eminent scientists at the inaugural session of the 101st Indian Science Congress Association at the University of Jammu.

Dr. Rajendra Laxman Karandikar from Tamilnadu received the P C Mahalanobis Birth Centenary award, Prof. S M Paul Khurana from Nodia received the J C Bose Memorial Award, Dr. G. Satheesh Reddy, from Hyderabad received the H J Bhabha Memorial Award, Prof. PC Trivedi from Gorakhpur received the B P Pal Memorial Awardand Prof. Avijit Banerjee from Kolkata was presented with the Prof. R C Mehrotra Memorial Life Time Achievement award.

On the occasion, mementoes were also presented to scientists and science propagators including Nobel laureate, Dr. Y T Lee. Other recipients were Prof. Yash Paul, Prof. R P Bambah, Prof. Krishan Lal, Prof. N S Dhalla, Prof. Avtar Krishnan, Prof. S K Sarin, Dr. T Ramasami, Prof. A K Sood, Prof. Avinash Chander, Prof. V P Kambhoj, Prof. I J S Bansal, Prof. Ashok .Saxena, Prof. S S Katujar, Er. V M Trehan and Prof. Goverdhan Mehta.

On the other day of Conference in Technical Session Prof. K.K. Saini from Electronics and Communication Engineering Department, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon delivered the lecture on “Information & Communication Science & Technology (Including Computer Sciences)”. He presented a paper titled Case study of Cloud service Computing Model: Applications.
