Ms. Chesta Agarwal, Assistant Professor from Computer Science and Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a workshop on Cloud Computing organized by Computer Society of India and Orbus Technologies at Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women, New Delhi from March 8th to 9th, 2014.

The objective of this workshop was to discuss and disseminate relevant knowledge related to cloud computing which is an emerging technology. The two day workshop also included hands on session with a detailed discussion on Cloud Computing Services.

Mr. Akash Garg, Oracle DBA at Orbus International elaborated the practical importance of some technical concepts like SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, Cloud Sim Simulator etc. He also discussed the key drivers of cloud computing solutions and cost effective model besides different barriers related to handling sensitive data, cloud security and assessing governance solutions.

The workshop was useful and relevant as the participants were taught various concepts and applications of Cloud computing through creatively interactive sessions.
