AUTOMOTIVE ENGINEERING

Mechanical Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a two-Day “Workshop on Automotive Engineering” in association with Para Mek Technologies, New Delhi from 24th to 25th September 2013.

The objective of this workshop was to aware students about the technical aspects involved in designing streamlined automobile body, manual and automatic transmission systems, safety aspects, hydraulic braking, conventional and power steering system etc.

Addressing the students, the guest speaker Mr. P.S. Gill emphatically stated that automobile is a fast moving sector requiring engineers who are conversant with the concept of product design, functional utility and integrated technology used in the manufacture of an automobile.

The workshop was attented by 138 students. There were interactive sessions where students cleared their conceptual doubts related to automobiles. Two competitions namely AUTOQUIZ and CASE STUDYwere organized as a part of this workshop. Top 10 students from these events were given Letter of Appreciation by Para Mek Technologies.
