SYMPOSIUM ON “GROWTH AND PROSPECTS OF MSME SECTOR IN EMERGING SCENARIO” |

Four students Anshul Patro (Roll No.14605), Amit Saini ( Roll No.16763), Akansha Marwah (Roll No.16762), Deepanshu Bansal (Roll No.16766) from Department of Electronics & Computer Engineering, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended the First National Level Conference on “Growth and Prospects of MSME Sector” on 8th and 9th January 2015 at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi. It was organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) & MSME. |
The symposium was inaugurated by Shri Kalraj Mishra, Hon’ble Minister of Micro, Small& Medium Enterprise(MSME) Government of India with the lighting of lamp. The opening-remarks for the symposium was delivered by Shri Arun Kumar Jha, Director General National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD). He spoke about creating up of environment for MSME by finance sector and business development in all fields. |
The context setting and special address was given by Shri Kavi Arora, Co -Chairman ,CII Northern Regional Committee on MSME who introduced Sustainbable and Renewable energy Development and various right policies for the growth of MSME. Shri Surendra Nath Tripathi, Joint Secretary of Ministry of MSME delivered the keynote address on Micro,Small & Medium Enterprise. The speakers also highlighted the policies of the government under the program. “Make In India: Emerging Sectors of Opportunities". |
The next session was chaired by Mrs. Alka Kaul, Vice Chairperson, CII Delhi . She spoke about various challenges in MSME, how to get credits at right time, skill sense, manpower, quality of product/service. Another speaker of the session Shri N. Mohan from Global Buisness Head, Tata International Ltd. talked about the various leather products and Women Empowerment in various villages. |
On the next day the experts Dr. Tamal Sarkar, Director foundation of MSME clusters; Shri Akshat Gupta, Director, Commercial Auto Pvt. Ltd; Ms.Shahi Singh, Head, CWEI shared their views on women entrepreneurs, opportunity in emerging sectors like Engineering Exports, IT Sector, Handicraft upcoming possibilities in automobile sectors etc. |
The symposium witnessed the participation of other eminent speakers like Mr. Madhav Lal, secretary, Ministry of MSME, Government of India; Mr. B H Anil Kumar, Joint Secretary (ARI), Ministry of MSME, Government of India; Mr. Ravindra Nath, Chairman & Managing Director, National Small Industries Corporation, and other industry stalwarts. |
