ARASAT SEMINAR 2011

Department of Applied Sciences and Humanities, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized a one-day National Seminar on Application of Recent Advances in Science & Technology (ARASAT) on 19 February 2011. Its objective was to bring eminent academicians, scholars, researchers & experts from different technical domains to explore new horizons of the ever innovative fields of Science & Technology.

The seminar (ARASAT-2011) was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) O. P. Sharma, IIT Delhi. In his inaugural speech, he said that the wide range of applications and Advances in Science & Technology, in urban & rural sectors, was, is and will be contributing in a big way to the development of the Nation. He emphasized that Dronacharya College of Engineering has created an environment to foster the growth of intellectually capable, innovated and entrepreneurial professionals who would contribute to the growth of Science & Technology and harness it for the welfare of nation and mankind. He also appreciated the papers presented by the college students on Fusion plasmas, Nano technology, Institute-Industry relationship, Black hole etc.

Addressing the participants Hon’ble Principal Prof . (Dr.)  B. M. K. Prasad said that the college has always been bringing up innovation into the technical education, anchoring high-end research programs, promoting patenting support units, developing innovative projects and organizing seminars, conferences and workshop etc. He congratulated Prof. (Dr.) Sri Krishan Yadav, Convener (ARASAT-2011) for providing a forum to academicians for exchange of views on different topics of current interest in the field of Science, Engineering & Technology.

The seminar ended with concluding remarks and a vote of thanks by Dr. B. B. Sahu, Chief coordinator (ARASAT- 2011). He expressed his profound gratitude to the magnanimous Management, Hon’ble Principal, Dean Academics and also thanked to all the participants and delegates in making this platform a two - way learning domain.
