The faculty members Mrs. Chitra Kaul, Ms. Pratibha Sharma, Mr. Amar Saraswat from Computer Science & Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in the Oracle Seminar cum Workshop  was held on 21st November 2013  at Nehru Place, Delhi.

The objective of this event was to have scholarly discussion and hands on the applications of concepts of Temporal Databases, Edition based redefinition, SQL Developer, Java, Application Continuity, XML, SQL Translator etc.

During the first session some of the  technical topics like Optimized Data Storage based on usage, Smart Compression, Vector Performance Acceleration, Parallel Generation, Enhanced Raster Operations, Parametric Curve Data Type, Extended 3D and Print Cloud Support, Web Feature Server Console, Enhanced Reasoning etc were discussed. Mr. Ram Purohit, Director, Itech India shared around 600 new features of Oracle in the second session.  Multitenant Environment and Pluggable Databases were discussed in detail in the third session.

The participants had  Lab sessions  on different technical topics Creating a pluggable database from a seed database, Modifying the state of a pluggable database, Unplugging and plugging a pluggable database, Disabling a Redaction Policy, Dropping a Redaction Policy, Configuring Oracle Enterprise Manager Express etc.

The event ended with the distribution of mementoes to the participants.
