VISIT TO NETWORKER GURU

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon organized an industrial visit to Networker Guru, Gurgaon. Thirty students from V Semester, Computer Science and Engineering of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon accompanied by faculty member Mr. Hansraj Yadav participated in the event on 10th September, 2014. The purpose of this industrial visit was to make the students familiar with several Cisco Certification programs which include CCNA, CCNA Security, CCNA voice, CCNP, CCNP Security/CCSP, CCNP Voice/CCVP, CCIP, CCIE Routing & Switching, CCIE Security, CCIE Voice, CCDA and CCIE Service Provider.

This industrial visit familiarized the students with various networking concepts like LAN interconnecting devices: Hubs, Switches, Bridges, Routers, Gateways, and Industrial Networking concepts. Ltd. has CCIE Training Labs and it offers Associate, Professional and Expert Level trainings in Routing Switching, Security and Voice track Certifications offered by Cisco Systems. The students were briefed about the industry operations and functioning. They attended a one and a half hour session on networking and network security. Each student was individually attended to in the lab and informed about how the layers are processed in the networks through hands on exercises and real time problems.

This visit helped the students gain knowledge about the recent developments in the networking industry as well motivated them with the opportunities available from these industries.
