Oracle CloudWorld 2014
 

Two faculty members Mr. Dharmendra Pal and Ms. Megha Goel from Information Technology Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended a one day Oracle event “Oracle CloudWorld 2014” on 22nd January 2014, at The Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi. The program was about how OracleCloud-the world’s most complete enterprise cloud-can enable business success. The objective was discuss Oracle’s accelerate innovation, avoid complexity and increased productivity.

 

The session started with the welcome and opening remarks by Mr. Sandeep Mathur, Managing Director, Oracle Corporation, India on how to make the most of Oracle CloudWorld. His remarks were followed by a number of keynote addresses. During the program Mr. Rod Johnson, Group Vice President, Applications & Industries Solutions Group, Oracle, US discussed OracleCloud: The Modern Cloud for the Modern Business delivered a lecture followed by Live Videocast from Singapore by Mr. Mark Hurd, President, Oracle, US.

 

Other global technocrats and researchers like Mr. Andy Chow, Sales Consulting Senior Director-Industries, BPM and advanced Technology, Oracle, APAC; Mr. J Satyanarayana, Secretary, DeitY, Ministry of Communication & IT, Government of India, New Delhi; Mr. Reggie Bradford, Senior Vice President, Product Development, Oracle, US; Mr. Javed Beg, Group Product Manager, Oracle, India; Mr. Venkata Ravipati, Senior Director, Oracle, explained Oracle’s Cloud strategy, the benefits of adopting SaaS solutions, and guidance on how to successfully avert the pitfalls of moving to the cloud, Modern Customer Experience etc. They also shred their views on Oracle Cloud Security and Regulatory Compliance, Oracle’s mobile platform simplifies application development, access control across cloud services; practice security framework etc.

 

The event was concluded with the comprehensive journey to Cloud Computing: how Oracle can help adopt Oracle Cloud Applications delivered by Mr. Elie Wazen, Consulting Technical Director, Oracle, APAC. He explained how Oracle’s leading customers use reference architecture from Oracle to adopt and integrate Oracle Cloud applications that reduce risks , save time and lower cost. Whether in a private, hybrid or public cloud environment, he discussed how running business applications from It was a great learning opportunity about OracleCloud emerging as a world’s most complete enterprise cloud, very well complemented with various DEMO Showcases by Oracle.
