ISTE - SRMC - 2014 - 15

ISTE - (Srinivasa Ramanujan Mathematical Competition 2014 - 15) for students and Teachers from both Polytechnic and Engineering College level has been conducted in different states divided into 32 zones . The competitive examination was conducted at three levels namely ISTE Chapter level, Zonal Level and National level. Zonal level exam was conducted on 09th January, 2015 in which PAN India 943 candidates participated, those who cleared the chapter level examination. Out of 943 candidates who appeared for zonal level examination, 112 candidates were selected for National level exam. Prize distribution function was organized for participants who cleared the Zonal level examination. ISTE - SRMC 2014 - 15 Award Distribution Function was held at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College, Puducherry, on 04th July, 2015.

In Teachers category, faculty member Mr. Chhavi Aggarwal who appeared in zonal level examination was declared winner and won the 1st prize. Similarly in Students category Kapish (17063) won 1st prize and Deepak yadav won 2nd prize from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon.

The event was attended by participants and dignitaries from PAN India. The presidential address was given by Prof. Pratapsinh K Desai (President, ISTE, New Delhi) and the event was presided by Shri M. Dhanasekaran (Chairman and Managing Director, SMVE Trust). Shri N. Rangasamy (Hon'ble Chief Minister of Puducherry) was the chief guest in the function and he addressed the participants by saying that such Competivtive exam bring out the hidden talent from the masses. ISTE plays a major role by providing a platform for the students to compete with each other at national level. The event was graced by the presence. The event provided a great opportunity to meet and interact with scholars from all over India.
