On 11th August '14, fifteen students from CSE department - Sadhana G (14085), Radhika Gogia(14070), Surbhi Miglani (14104), Ritika Manchanda (14080), Sanjay Yadav (14087), Rahul Rapariya(14073), Sumeet Singh (14101), Stela Sarkar(14100), Varun Vashisht (14112), Simran Sharma (14096), Simran Dagar(14909), Shivansh Mudgil (15099), Vivek Teotia (15118), Surbhi Bharadwaj (15103), Sanjana Singh (15096) attended a workshop organised by IEEE, hosted by IIT-Delhi.

IEEE organised a one-day workshop about “How to write a Quality Technical Paper and where to publish within IEEE”. IEEE has started conducting workshops about publishing technical papers recently in order to help authors write their paper so that it can be published and valued. Mr. Saifur Rahman, Director of Advanced Research Institute, as the keynote speaker along with Ms. Rachel Berrington, Director of IEEE Client Services, and Ms. Nancy Blair-DeLeon, Senior Manager & Author at IEEE, were the speakers. Mr. Rahman is also an editor-in-chief at IEEE and a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering who has published over 100 papers.

Mr. Rahman started off the session by giving a brief introduction about the IEEE committee and proceeded with the discussion about how to write technical papers. He also gave many important points that would be useful for upcoming authors. Thus, the workshop was very useful and was a motivation to young minds.
