Google App Engine

Workshop on Google App Engine using Python was conducted by Google Developer Group-Dronacharya College of Engineering (GDG-DCE) in the college campus on April 05, 2014. The event was inaugurated by Prof. ( Dr.) M.N. Hussain, Principal, Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon in the presence of Head of the Departments from all branches.

The objectives of this workshop were to discuss the practical applications of Cloud Computing, Python, Google and its App Engine.

Prof. Swati Jha, the Mentor, motivated the coordinators and Anshul Patro, the Organizer of GDG-DCE, made the participants aware about Google Developer Group and its activities. The trainers of the workshop were Bibhuti Bhushan (VI Sem CSE) and Vineet Kataria (VI Sem ECS). During the first session, they explained about Google, its products and viewing Google not only as a search engine but also as an App Engine on which the students can build their App and deploy it. Vineet Kataria, gave an introduction about Cloud Computing while Bibhuti Bhushan, enlightened about Google and its App Engine.

In the second session there was hands on exercise on Python by the participants which was handled by Bibhuti Bhushan. He not only shared the practical aspects of Python but also gave a live demo on how to deploy an app on Google.

The workshop was attended by 23 students from various streams. It Was useful to the students as they learnt different practical aspects of Google App Engine, Python etc.
