GDAYX-GDG DEVFEST

Ms. Poonam Yadav, Assistant Professor from Electronics & Computer Engineering Department of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon attended an Event “GDayX” on 20th December 2014 at JW Marriott Hotel Chandigarh organised by Google Business Group.

GDayX is a series of large-scale events held by Google in Latin America, Middle East, Africa and India for Developers, Tech Enthusiasts and Entrepreneurs. It started as a part of the G-Africa Initiative that was expanded to Latin America countries in 2012. These events typically lasted for two days, split into the developer day (for developers and technology enthusiasts) and the business day (for entrepreneurs) with the aim of showing them how to leverage Google tools in taking advantage of the opportunities offered by the Internet and mobile.

The programme started with a welcome address by the organiser, Mr. PankajBharti, GDayXEvent, The First session was chaired by Mr. VivekAtray, IAS Officer and the eminent writer. He delivered his views on the topic “Entrepreneur and Digital India”.

Second sessions were taken by Mr. Yuvraj Sharma, Digital Marketing Expert , Pearson Education; Ms. Sunali Aggarwal,CEO & UX Expert, BEON System; Mr. Divyan Gupta, Founder & CEO, Keshiha Service; Mr. KunalNandwani”, Founder & CEO, uTrade; Mr. Jaiprakash Hasrajani, Co-Founder & CEO, ValeurHR/Taleem India; Ms. Parul Ravindranath, Program Manager Start Up Ecosystem, Google; Prof. Piyush K., Expert-Marketing, Branding and Social Media ISB on the topics “Are you Inline For Online”, “UX Design: Change the Way People Look at your Business, “Beyond Price Wars Creating a Real Ecommerce Brand”, “Online Entrepreneurship”, “Significance of Communities in Start Up Ecosystem”, “The Entrepreneur’s Dilemma: The Innovation Imitation Trade-off respectively.

In Third Session, there was a panel discussion on “Digital India and Role of Start Up’s” in the august presence of the members Mr. Jashan Dullat, Serial Entrepreneur, Co-Founder of Prius Realty and Markinfinity Inc.,Former Vice President of AIESEC; Mr. Naunihal Singh, DIG Punjab Armed Police; Mr. Raveesh Bhalla, Product Manager, Haptik. Google Developer Expert for UX/Design; Mr. Rohit Gupta, Googler and Mr. Kunal Nandwani, Founder & CEO uTrade.
