E-WEEK 2014

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) also named as Dronacharya’s Centre for Entrepreneurial Enterprise & Development (D’CEED) of Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon, Haryana, celebrated E-Week 2014 on February 26, 2014 with an objective to promote entrepreneurship skills among students. In the august presence of Hon’ble Principal, Prof. (Dr.) M.N. Hussain and all HOD’s, the E leaders - Sanya Harneja (Roll No. 14486) & Komal Chauhan (Roll No. 15072) introduced D’CEED to the new e-cell members. The theme of E-Week celebration was “Innovating for India”.

In her inaugural address, Prof. Swati Jha, EDC Head, shared the objectives and relevance of entrepreneurship, National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and E-Week . She reiterated that Entrepreneurship has become a global pandemic nowadays.

Idea Generation exercise was conducted by E-Leader Jorawar Singh (Roll No. 14039). Each group was provided with a newspaper and students had to generate an idea on theme “Mobile Apps” followed by the presentations .

Mr. Feroz Khan, Director, Convexion Software Solution India Pvt. Ltd. interacted with the students and also delivered a talk on the significance of entrepreneurship.Some motivational videos were played and Rules for Rs. 50 exercises was discussed by E-Leaders Anuj Yadav (Roll No. 14606) and Aman Sharma (Roll No. 14603). A documentary of Social Entrepreneurship in Chhattisgarh on “Warna Complex” was showcased to motivate students for the same.

Mr. Nazeer Ahmed Khan, Chief Manager, Syndicate Bank, Gurgaon was talked about loan facilities for entrepreneurs and the qualities they look for in an individual before sanctioning the loans.

The celebration concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by E-leader Neelima Saini (Roll No. 15723).
