Pro® is one of the most widely-used software for developing and analysing the designs of various structures, such as petrochemical plants, tunnels, bridges etc. STAAD.Pro® v8i, the latest version, allows civil engineering individuals to analyse structural designs in terms of factors like force, load, displacements etc. It can make use of various forms of analysis from the traditional 1st order static analysis, 2nd order p-delta analysis, geometric nonlinear analysis or a buckling analysis. It can also make use of various forms of dynamic analysis from modal extraction to time history and response spectrum analysis. STAAD.Pro V8i will eliminate the countless man-hours required to properly load your structure by automating the forces caused by wind, earthquakes, snow, or vehicles.

The workshop was followed by a competition for the students of civil department. Ten students Shubham (16733), Ashish (15972), Nitin (16698), Prateek Singh Patel (16572), Satyender Kumar(16727), Anurag Sejwal(16652), Vishwajeet Kumar (16754), Aditya Jatiwal (16642), Shanshank Shekhar (16730), Amit Kumar (16646) qualified for the final round to be held at IIT Bhubneshwar in their annual techno-management fest Wissenaire”15.
