TRAINING PROGRAM BY BEST KOKI AUTOMOTIVES PVT.LTD.

40 students of 4th and 6th semester Mechanical Engineering were exposed to Modern Production Technology by Best Koki Automotives Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Marco Titz, Project Adviser; Best KOKI provided theoretical and practical training on 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th March and 1st and 8th April 2014.

The training sessions covered various developments in modern production technology with specific reference to different methods of welding and use of robots.

Detailed lectures were delivered and concepts explained to the students on the following topics:

1. Various welding and allied processes.

2. Welding as compared to Riveting and Casting.

3. Applications of welding.

4. Safety aspects in welding.

5. Gas welding- mainly oxy-acetylene welding, equipment and welding techniques.

6. Soldering and Brazing.

7. Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG).

8. Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG).

9. Laser Welding, principle, equipment, production of laser beam and operation.

The students were taken around the factory where actual welding processes were carried out with the help of robots. The students practically wrote a programme and welded two pieces of mild steel.

They were also explained how quality of the manufactured components is maintained and the use of very precise and expensive coordinate measuring equipment for quality control.
