He also discussed that communication is the heart of every organisation. Everything you do in the workplace results from communication. Therefore good reading, writing, speaking and listening skills are essential.

Focussing on Group Discussions done at the time of selection of a candidate, Mr. Mudgil said that the main reason for including it in selection criteria is that the effective teams need to work well together and the team cohesiveness depends on building strong relationships among team members. He explained try to get-acquainted in the activities to establish a positive, cooperative group climate, providing regular feedback to help the group to stay focused on goals, discussing one topic at a time, working through group conflicts rather than avoiding them, ensuring that all group members have an opportunity to state their views and clearly stating decisions so that all members understand.

Motivating the students, Ms. Mishra quoted that “A proton can never lose its positivity as so can’t you”. She said that getting covered by stress and worries saps away all the energy. Staying positive will help to overcome the toughest of challenges.

Talking about the interview skills, Ms. Mishra explained the importance of active listening. She said that from the very beginning of the interview, interviewer gives a little information, either directly or indirectly. If that information was not listened properly, major opportunity may be missed.

Personality means uniqueness, individuality and appearance of a person and the reflection of thinking, emotions, behaviour, communication skills and corporeal characteristics.

Emphasising on the communication skills, Ms. Mishra said that when we take the time to acquire good communication skills, we open ourself up to better networks, more career opportunities, and increased self-confidence. Moreover, effective communication helps in working together harmoniously that results in high productivity and integrity.
